If you can’t find the credential you need, you may need to create it. To do this, simply click on the ‘Can’t find the credential you’re looking for’ button at the bottom of the Add credentials screen.
Tip: With the use of acronyms etc, it can be difficult to find the credential you're after the first time. Before creating a new credential, try other possible spellings for the credential or any known acronyms.
Which credential category?
If you’re unsure which category you need, there are helpful guidelines under the ‘Not sure what type of credential you need?’ highlighted below.
Once you've selected the category you need, you'll be prompted to complete fields for that credential, including credential name, who by the credential was awarded by and dates identifying when it was issued.
Tip: Each credential type requires different information, so you'll notice small changes in this screen according to the credential you've selected.
Once the credential is saved and displays in the 'My Credentials' table, you'll notice that the credential has a red bar or colour indicator. Your credential will remain red until it is approved by your organisation and the Administrator of the organisation that owns the credential. If it remains amber, this indicates that the organisation that owns the credential is not yet registered with Industry Smart.
